MARK LATIMER CTS-D, CTS-I President, CEO

Mark started Coda Technology Group after working in the audio-visual industries for 19 years and currently runs day to day operations of the business. He has worked in Professional Contracting, Pro Audio Live Sound, Event and Staging, and Consulting. Mark holds a CTS-D certification as well as numerous manufacturer certifications. Mark graduated from Sonoma State University with a BA in Jazz performance (drums) and a minor in Digital Recording Arts. Previously, as and installer and pro audio tech, Mark was a member of IBEW, and IATSE.




ERIC P SHORT, CPA, CFO

Eric currently manages all aspects of Codaís financials as CFO. He graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelors degree in business management in 1992 and is a certified public accountant with 20 years of accounting experience. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and two children (ages 12 &8). Eric also works out aggression weekly playing indoor soccer with another Coda team member Brett Ransom for over 40 years and counting.




CLAY STARK, CTS, Account Manager

Clay is a senior sales account manager and joined the company in 2009. Clay is responsible for large account management sales and coordination and assists the production team with client care. He has worked on a variety of projects ranging from video conferencing, corporate AV and control, Education, and government. Clay holds certifications with Cisco, Polycom, Lifesize, and Extron and speaks fluent Spanish and is an excellent Chef.

TROY GIMBEL, RCDD Engineer, Design Team

Troy Gimbel joined Coda in 2011 after working for over 10 years at the prominent Audio-Visual consulting firm Charles M. Salter & Associates. He has over 20 years’ experience in sound design, audio engineering and multimedia production and most notably worked at the San Francisco Opera. His work has been featured on the cover of Sound & Communications magazine and on the Discovery Channel’s Unsolved History TV series. Fully proficient in both AV and IT, he has achieved RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) designation. Troy has designed audio/visual systems and telecommunication infrastructure for performance arts centers, sports venues, educational, corporate and government facilities. The projects he’s worked on include: Livermore’s Bankhead and Regional Theaters, award-winning Dougherty Valley High School, Sen Spa, Olympic Club, San Jose’s Police Sub Station, Bascom and Seven Trees Libraries, Chevron, Sandia National Laboratories and Genentech.




SCOTT RIVAS, DMC-D, CTS Engineer, Design Team

Scott works as an engineer and senior field technician for Coda and has over 8 years experience in the audiovisual industry. Scott is a highly skilled engineer and AutoCAD drafts person and builds the best racks and cable management you have ever seen. Scott is a devout Cowboyís fan and Tony Stewart fan. Scott holds several DSP manufacturer certifications and often provides onsite optimization services to our install team .




GINA TAYLOR, CTS-D, Engineer, Design Team

Gina works as an engineer for Coda and has almost a decade in the audiovisual industry. Gina is a highly skilled engineer, an AutoCAD draftsperson, video conferencing designer, and between all this and configuring systems she gets her hands in just about everything. Gina holds a CTS certification as well as numerous other manufacturer certifications including Tandberg TMS, and Cisco ATP system engineer certification.




CHAD KRISHER, DMC-E, CTS, Director of Programming & Special Projects

Chad is head of Programming & Special Projects for Coda, where he focuses on development of innovative system interfaces that consistently deliver positive end user experiences. He is also responsible for oversight of projects which include any highly technical, uniquely challenging, or are dangerous in general. His organizational and planning processes have made him an outstandingly versatile and efficient project manager, with a long list of successful international and enterprise projects for companies such as Dolby Laboratories, Barclay Global Investors, Genentech, and many more. Chad holds multiple certifications from Tandberg, ICIA, Crestron, and various other AV manufacturers.

BRETT RANSOM, CTS-I, RCDD, NTS, Director of Field Operations

Brett has been in the telecommunications / audio visual industry for 25 years and is currently in charge of all field operations for Coda. He coordinates with project managers and engineers to make sure that best practices are followed and as safety manager, he makes sure all safety procedures are being observed. Brett has been a trainer for Bicsi and the IBEW and holds his CTS, RCDD, NTS, Extron AV Associate and Corning Fiber Optic certifications. His specialties include fiber optic systems, phone systems, structured cabling, service, testing, and the design and implementation of Audio Visual systems. Brett is also a project manager and some of his recent success stories have been Redding School of the Arts, and University of California at Berkeley School of Law.




ANDREW LUCAS, CTS, Project Manager

Andrew has 15 years in telecom and Audio-Visual system integration.His responsibilities include project planning and management, DSP configuration, user training and documentation. Recent projects he has led include Federal Reserve Bank Conference center at Market Street in SF, Clorox 16th floor Conference Center in Oakland, and Amazon Lab126 8th floor Conference center in Cupertino. Andrew is an AVID Fly fisherman and loves his SF 49ers.




PETER JONK-SOMMER, CTS, Service Coordinator

Peter is the dedicated service coordinator for Coda. His responsibilities include transitioning finished projects into the support and maintenance department, managing warranty support, scheduling preventative maintenance and setting up training and adoption programs for our clients. Peter is a world traveler and loves his Air Stream.




WILLIE MARKS, EAVA, CTS, Field Journeyman

Willie is a journeyman with Coda and is responsible for installation and systems turn up on projects. Willie graduated with a BA in Political Science from CSU Chico in 2005.He has worked in the Audio-Visual industry for 7 years and specializes in field infrastructure and fabrication, rack building and wiring, signal testing and troubleshooting as well as site coordination. Willie is currently pursuing his CTS-I certification.




OVANEL LOZANO, Field Technician

Ovanel is an installer with Coda and is responsible for installation and rack building. Ovanel has wired some of the best racks weíve ever seen and takes a lot of pride and care in his work. He has worked in the Audio-Visual industry for 6 years and specializes in field infrastructure and fabrication, rack building and wiring, signal testing and troubleshooting as well as site coordination. Ovanel is currently pursuing his CTS-I certification.




LES THOMPSON, Field Technician

Les is an installer with Coda and is responsible for installation, site infrastructure and rack building. He has worked in the Audio-Visual and Telecom industries for 16 years and specializes in field infrastructure and fabrication, rack building and wiring, signal testing and troubleshooting as well as site coordination. Les is currently pursuing his CTS certification.
