Troy Gimbel Joins Coda Engineering Team

Coda Technology Group is very pleased to welcome Troy Gimbel into the firm as a Senior Engineer. Troy Gimbel joined Coda in 2011 after working for over 10 years at the prominent Audio-Visual consulting firm Charles M. Salter & Associates. Before that he worked for 5 years at the SF Opera House as an IATSE member. Troy designed the new CSA’s award- wining audio/visual and acoustical simulations presentation Studio which has been featured on the cover of Sound & Communications magazine. Troy specializes in audio/visual and telecommunication distribution design, sound masking, as well as acoustical simulations as seen on Discovery Channel’s Unsolved History TV series. He has over 20 years experience in sound design, audio engineering and multimedia production for most notably the world renowned San Francisco Opera. In telecommunications, Troy has achieved RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) designation. With the convergence of IT and A/V systems, Troy is uniquely qualified as a designer of both. Troy has designed audio/visual systems and telecommunication infrastructure for performance arts centers, sports venues, educational, corporate and government facilities. Some of his projects include: Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center, award-winning Dougherty Valley High School, SenSpa, Olympic Club, San Jose Police Sub Station, Cupertino Civic Center, Chevron Corporation, and Sandia National Laboratories . Troy is a proficient AutoCAD Revit user as well and we are excited to have him on board.

Coda Technology Group Achieves Cisco ATP Partner Status

Coda Technology Group is proud to achieve Cisco ATP Partner status and continues to provide customers with both Tandberg and Cisco telepresence solutions. As part of the on-boarding process, Coda purchased in house endpoints (C40 telepresence endpoint for conference room and an executive desktop EX90 endpoint) as well as Cisco VCS Expressway and Movi soft client licenses. In addition to new equipment purchases, Coda sales and engineering staff completed several required ATP classes and certification exams successfully.

Coda Engineering Embraces Autodesk Revit

The engineering department of Coda Technology Group has embraced Autodesk Revit and has invested in full design suite software packages. The ability to create and collaborate within a 3D model space allows our team to render design concepts to our customers, quickly create new drawing views, and build a data base of blocks to increase efficiency and creativity. A picture is worth a thousand words, and so is a virtual walking tour around systems in a 3D model of a building that has yet to be built.
